Imagine a time when there will be a choice between surgical sterilization of dogs and
cats and a simple injection. Imagine the impact a low cost, easy to administer sterilization
procedure would have on the homeless pet population. The Alliance for Contraception in Cats
and Dogs (ACC&D) is working toward making it a reality, and you can help by signing the
petition!
Formed in 2000, ACC&D is an international, collaborative effort to save the lives of
dogs and cats and to reduce their numbers through developing non-surgical technologies
for the humane control of cat and dog populations. Yes, it's a mouthful. But it's also
very much within reach! Nonsurgical contraception has been in use in humans and wildlife
for decades and current research on products for dogs and cats is promising.
Because these products are not yet seen as a major opportunity for pharmaceutical company
profit, efforts to achieve this vision must be spurred on by those who are committed to
saving pets' lives. So ACC&D has launched a petition through which individuals and
organizations can declare their support of this work. ACC&D will use this petition
to demonstrate need and interest, bringing urgency and resources to this effort.

the petition, visit the ACC&D web site at www.acc-d.org.
